A CHILD snatcher was allegedly arrested in Estepona yesterday.

The man allegedly tried to abduct a child from outside the Opencor supermarket in Benavista.

The child was in a car outside the supermarket just off the A7, while his mother was inside the shop.

According to a Facebook post from a mother based in Marbella, the man was arrested two hours later after being identified on CCTV.

Staff at Opencor would neither confirm or deny the reports to the Olive Press this afternoon.

However two local shop owners confirmed they had ‘heard about’ the incident.

The olive press continues to investigate. More to follow.
