Moroccan suitcaseAN African boy found inside a suitcase at the Spanish border in Ceuta has been granted permission to stay for a year.

Ivorian Adou Ouattara, 8, was discovered hidden in a suitcase that was smuggled across the border into Spain by a 19-year-old Moroccan woman.

The boy’s father – who was arrested at the time – claims he had paid for a visa and was expecting his son to travel via car.

He has been granted temporary permission to stay so he can be reunited with his mother who lives in Spain, officials said.
