ANDALUCIAN tourism ministers have been travelling around Spain flaunting the best greens southern Spain has to offer.
Attending both the Bilbao and Madrid golf fairs, the Andalucian representatives were out in their droves to capture the imaginations of the country’s top golfing businesses and swinging holidaymakers.
And with tourism already up 13% in the first quarter of the year, expect the greens and fairways to be even busier across the region this summer.
The Madrid market is the most important to Andalucia, with over 260,000 travelers staying in hotels in the region within the first three months of this year.
That’s a 9% increase on last years figures, while overnight stays are up 16% to more than 650,000.
