AN urgent appeal has been issued for spare pairs of glasses to be donated to charity.
Specsavers in Spain is aiming to collect over 4,500 pairs for Lions Club International before the end of April, and they are halfway so far.
The specs will be sent to those in desperate need of glasses in Africa, India and elsewhere after being sorted into categories at the Lion’s Club recycling plant in Alicante.
