GUARDIA Civil officers, local police and Civil Proteccion volunteers are searching for a British youth who has been reported missing in the municipality of Cortes de la Frontera (Malaga).

It is believed that the 16-year-old went kayaking on the Guadiaro river on Wednesday but has not been seen since. The boat and paddles were found on Thursday morning.

The search is currently being concentrated in the area between Garganta de las Buitreras and the power station at El Comenar.
