Human remains found in turbine of a Guardia Civil patrol boat

Guardia Civil

Guardia CivilHUMAN remains have been discovered lodged inside a patrol boat’s turbine.

The vessel is now moored at the port of Sotogrande where Guardia Civil officers will recover the remains for analysis.

Although the remains are still to analysed, it is believed that they correspond to one of a number of Moroccan fisherman missing after their boat sank near Ceuta on Tuesday.

The vessel took part in a search and rescue mission for the fisherman, where only five of its crew were found alive.
