UPDATE: 45 passengers on crashed Germanwings plane believed to be Spanish

PlaneCrash

PlaneCrashSPAIN’S deputy prime minister Soraya Saenz de Santamaría has announced that 45 passengers on the crashed Germanwings plane are believed to be Spanish.

The plane travelling from Barcelona to Dusseldorf, Germany, was carrying 142 passengers and six members of staff.

The Airbus A320 lost radio contact at 11am and debris was found in the French Alps.

Unconfirmed reports suggest the cabin pressure failed which lead to the aircraft going into a steep descent.
