A BIG search and rescue operation has been called off at Europa Point in Gibraltar.
A Spanish national is still missing but treacherous conditions have come in the way of the rescue mission.
The man is believed to have fallen into the choppy waters from a vessel that was three miles from the shore.
The accident happened at around 3.15pm.
Several sea vessels and a Spanish SAR helicopter were dispatched to try and rescue the missing person.
