Spanish newspaper group websites hacked

Spongebob

A NUMBER of Spanish newspaper websites have been hacked.

The sites – including El Pais, El Mundo and Marca – are all part of the AEDE newspaper group.

A group of characters from children’s TV show Spongebob Squarepants currently appear on the site for five seconds, followed by a ‘Google News’ sign.

Google News was removed in Spain on December 16 following the country’s decision to implement a new intellectual property law.
