‘Intelligent’ speed bumps to be tried out at Marbella’s La Cañada

A MALAGA-based entrepreneur has invented a new type of speed bump to jolt dangerous drivers out of the fast lane.

The brainchild of 34-year-old inventor Jose Antonio Aguilera, the ‘intelligent’ bumps give speeders a jolt while leaving non-speeders alone.

The speeds bumps are filled with a liquid which hardens or softens depending on the speed of the passing vehicle.

Marbella’s La Cañada shopping centre will be the first place to trial the technology.
