Gerald Brenan’s life in Churriana to be recreated through anecdotes

GERALD Brenan is to be remembered by those who knew him at his house in Churriana.

People who knew the author will gather at the event on November 14 – beginning at 6.30pm – to tell anecdotes about the author and help to reconstruct his life in Andalucia.

All are welcome to attend.

From his house in Churriana – that has now been restored and reopened as a cultural centre – Brenan created some of his most well-loved works, including ‘South from Granada’ and ‘The Face of Spain’.

To find out more about the seven-year Olive Press campaign to save the house, read our feature in this week’s issue, in print or online.
