Spain and England both slip in FIFA world rankings

THE misery surrounding both the Spanish and English national football teams has been compounded by the latest FIFA world rankings.

Spain’s dramatic fall from grace continues, as the European champions fall two places to 10th overall, following their 2-1 defeat to Slovakia last month.

Things look even bleaker for the English who fell to 20th overall, ranking them behind the likes of Algeria, Greece and Ukraine.

Germany, Argentina and Colombia remain unchanged in the top three places while Belgium have swapped places with the Netherlands to move into fourth.
