International Space Station goes green!

STAR-GAZERS in Tenerife were treated to an early Halloween treat when the International Space Station was lit up in a spooky shade of green.

A green laser was shone on to the space station from the European Space Agency’s optical ground station in Tenerife as part of ongoing tests into next-generation communications.

There are currently six people living on the space station which orbits the earth 16 times a day.

Lasers have also been successfully used on tests to the moon in the last year as astrologists search for faster ways to transmit data.
