Brand new care home opens its doors in Gibraltar

A BRAND new residential care home has opened for the elderly.

John Mackintosh Home, part of the old St Bernard’s Hospital, has been totally refurbished and converted into an elderly care home.

Once fully operational it will be able to offer 54 residential beds.

“It adds a further string to the bow of elderly services that we now offer.” said Samantha Sacramento, Minister for Equality, Social Services and the Elderly.
