THE pick of Spanish cinema is set to be showcased in the 17th Malaga Film Festival, which starts this Friday.
A series of films and documentaries are set to be premiered over the one week festival, held at the Teatro Cervantes.
There will also be workshops led by industry experts, and a number of debates and discussions on a variety of cinematic topics.
The first festival was held in 1998, and since then it has grown into one of the biggest Spanish film festivals in Spain and Latin America.
Previous festivals have attracted some of the industry’s top names, from both in front and behind the camera, including Malaga’s own Antonio Banderas.
