Nerja helipad given green light

NERJA Town Hall has approved a site for the construction of a helipad for the Emergency Services, located close to the town’s health centre.

Mayor Jose Alberto Armijo said that the helipad would  “benefit all the residents of the town and the people who visit us, dramatically improving the performance of health services and saving lives.”

The town hall has also approved the basic design of the helipad. Currently the emergency services have been using the town’s football pitch for emergency helicopter landing.
