RINCON de Victoria has opened a new Foreign Residents’ Office to keep almost 3,000 foreign residents informed of what’s going on.
Staff at the centre speak four languages – Spanish, English, French and Italian – the latter being the fastest growing foreign group in the town with 322 officially registered.
“We have 81 different nationalities living full time in our area, so this is a much needed service,” said Rincon de Victoria’s mayor Francisco Salido.
The office will be open from 9am to 2pm during the working week.
So the foreigners department needs a Spanish speaker to meet the needs of all those Spanish speaking foreign visitors beacause no-one else at the town hall speaks Spanish?
I think they want to keep the whole community informed so yes a Spanish speaker would be useful, it can help to foster relations among residents and merchants alike.
