A YOUNG judoko has scooped a silver medal in the national championships.
Ryan Whitehead, aged 9, narrowly missed out on the gold medal in the event, hosted by the British Judo Council.
He travelled to the competition with two fellow members of the R.K Judo Club of Estepona, Welsh champions Ben Barkby and Tom Whybrow.
