THE president of the Junta de Andalucia, Jose Antonio Grinan, has officially announced his resignation.
He will be succeeded by Susana Diaz, former PSOE advisor.
Early this morning, he confirmed that he will leave his post on August 26.
Diaz will immediately assume the position.
“The crisis faced by the government needs to be strong and not distracted by party issues,” the president said in a statement issued this morning.
At the end of August of course he doesn’t want to miss out on his paid holidays.
