HOLIDAYMAKERS and expats who have had to make their way to Granada from another airport in Andalucía can now look forward to direct flights from London to Granada.
British Airways have announced they will be operating four flights a week for around €100 each way from July 25.
The new route is the result of negotiations between BA and the department of tourism in Granada.
On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays the planes take off from LondonCityAirport at 9.10 am and land in Granada at 12.50pm.
What time are the return flights ?
Flights will take off from London City at 9.10am and arrive at Granada at 12.50pm local time on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Return flights leave Granada at 1.35pm and touch down in London City at 3.15pm.
During the summer, an additional flight on Thursday will depart London City at 3.20pm and arrive at 7pm, with the return leg taking off at 7.40pm and arriving at 9.20pm.
Is there any news on progress on negotiations with budget airlines on this route? I know it was being suggested last year that Ryanair was possible back on the scene…
Excellent news. Wasn’t there supposed to be another airline flying in and out of London? What happened to that?
Yippee!
