Environment least of Europeans’ worries

environment bottom in european poll of concerns

THE environment has come in bottom of a European poll to determine people’s main concerns.

The survey, featuring 50,000 EU citizens from 170 regions across the 27 member states, asked respondents to state what worried them most.

Only 6% considered the environment to be their primary concern, with 61% choosing unemployment, followed by the economic situation (32%) then healthcare (20%).

Other issues deemed more important than the environment included education, crime and immigration.
