SPANISH TV channel Antena 3 has been ordered to pay a €215,000 fine for repeatedly showing false photos about Morocco to support a ‘political cause’.
A Belgian court ruled in favour of the Rachidi family arguing the channel had used ‘in bad faith, false and incorrect information to support a political cause’.
It comes after the channel showed graphic pictures of four dead bodies in November 2010 presenting them as victims of police brutality in Gdim Yzik (Laayoune) when they were in fact four members of a family murdered in Casablanca.
