A FORMER royal correspondent and who wrote extensively about his holidays in Andalucia has died after a long battle with cancer.
James Whitaker, who broke the news that Lady Diana was having an affair with Dodi Fayad and was known for his plummy voice, had a second home on the Costa del Sol.
“What a week I’ve had,” he wrote in his Daily Mirror column in February 2001. “Sunbathing until I felt tingling on my face and upper torso at the beginning, and then hours of solid piste-bashing in the Sierra Nevada for the following two days.”
