‘I want UK return’, says Real Madrid manager Mourinho

JOSE Mourinho has said he wants to return to the UK premiership.

The Real Madrid manager insists his ‘passion is in England’ as he vowed to make a return.

While insisting he was ‘very happy’ in Madrid, he joked in an interview with BBC Radio 4: ‘Get me a club in a couple of years.’

The Portuguese manager has long been linked with taking over the reins at Manchester United job when Sir Alex Ferguson retires.

In July 2009, while in charge of Inter, Mourinho said: ‘I would consider going to Manchester United but United have to consider if they want me to succeed Sir Alex Ferguson. If they do, then of course.’

However, he could be forced to bide his time, as Sir Alex is showing no signs of thinking about retirement.

Mourinho’s Real Madrid side currently sit three points clear of Barcelona at the top of La Liga despite losing 3-1 to the Catalan side earlier this month.
