Artful dodger in murder charge in Spain

A PRISON art teacher has become embroiled in a double murder investigation after becoming the lover and alleged accomplice of a violent inmate.

The 37-year-old, with no previous criminal record, is alleged to have gone on the run with her lover after he escaped from Barcelona’s Modelo prison.

She had taught him art for a number of years.

The pair first allegedly robbed the house of her ex-boyfriend, stabbing the 32-year-old almost to death.

Later, in Murcia, two people were shot in the street outside the hotel where the pair had taken cocaine and drunk whisky, leading to his arrest – and four days later, that of his supposed partner in crime.
