US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton will make her first official visit to Spain over the weekend.
The former first lady will meet Spanish Prime Minister Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapatero and Foreign Minister Trinidad Jimenez to discuss Afghanistan, the Middle East and economic issues.
The diplomat, who is also visiting Hungary and Lithuania, will hold talks on Friday and Saturday before returning to Washington.
The visit to Spain will be the first by a US Secretary of State since Condoleeza Rice in June 2007.
She’s making a quick visit before she quits her post. She hates the job I read.
