British woman raped in Costa del Sol hotel

A BRITISH woman claims she was gassed and raped in her hotel room while on holiday in Spain.

The 56-year-old was assaulted at Hotel Siroco in Benalmadena while her husband lay unconscious next to her.

The pair, from Greater Manchester, claim the attacker was still in the room when they woke up and fled naked with a large sum of cash.

“I think he somehow gassed us and then came in. My wife woke me screaming my name at around 4am and I realised someone was in the room with her,” the 55-year-old man told the Sun.

The victim was treated by doctors in Spain following the incident but must now undergo a HIV test back in the UK.

Malaga police confirmed  they were investigating the assault but said no-one had yet been arrested.

  1. Not the gas story again ! A bedroom in that hotel is about 50 cubic metres. A normal scuba tank contains 80 cubic feet of air, two and quarter cubic metres. So to gas these people he would have needed 20 cylinders. Where are they ? And how does a naked man smuggle 20 cylinders of gas past the receptionist into a hotel. However “they claim”… and will probably do so on the insurance.

  2. A week on and no follow up. I wonder why not.
No forensic examination of the gas tanks left behind, or of the clothes left behind, no details of the receptionists’ statements and their descriptions of the naked man rushing about, no details of how he got from the penthouse apartment, no mention of how long the couple were in hospital for the necessary assessment and treatment after having been asphyxiated by some dreadful anaesthetic of unknown description in unknown quantity.
    It’s all gone quiet.
Very like the Angolan bouncer of a few months before that.
