Caught with his pants down

HE had been wanted for weeks for writing obscene graffiti over the key historical monuments of El Puerto de Santa Maria.

So it was fitting that the vandal was literally caught with his pants down.

The Olive Press was on the scene when the Spanish man in his 30s was in the process of sprawling obscenities over a historic fountain on the dock-side of the Cadiz town.

After seizing his spray can and searching him, the police officers did what most vandals deserve: They pulled his trousers down to search his underwear.

At the same moment a motorbike patrol also happened to be passing and the two policemen quickly jumped off their bikes to apprehend the man.

It has emerged that the Mayor of El Puerto Enrique Moresco had already announced that he would do anything in his power to stop the graffiti.

The man, who was said to be suffering from mental illness, had already written all over the Church of las Esclavas and the Convent of Espiritu Santo.

After seizing his spray can and searching him, the police officers did what most vandals deserve: They pulled his trousers down to search his underwear.

As well as tracking down Jimi Hendrix’ sole living heir in Sweden, while there he also helped lead the initial investigation into Prince Andrew’s seedy links to Jeffrey Epstein during three trips to America.

He had dozens of exclusive stories, while his travel writing took him to Jamaica, Brazil and Belarus.

He is the author of three books; Costa Killer, Dining Secrets of Andalucia and My Search for Madeleine.
