Costa del Safe?

THE Costa del crime may be a thing of the past after Spain was branded “one of the safest countries in Europe”.

Crime in Marbella was down 13.21 per cent last year to 5,907 incidents, compared to 6,806 in 2008. It is now at its lowest level in a decade.

“Spain is one of the safest countries in Europe,” said Interior minister Alfredo Perez Rubalcaba.
