A BRITISH businessman has been killed after his Lamborghini plunged off a cliff in Marbella.

Lee Ward, the 28-year-old son of a British oil tycoon, was killed instantly when the car skidded on a bend and fell, landing on its roof near Los Flamingos golf course.

A passenger is also fighting for his life after he managed to leap clear of the 150,000 euro car as it fell 250ft.

The businessman’s uncle, James Ward, paid tribute to his nephew describing him as a “colourful character”.

“He had a lot and he shared a lot,” he said.

Over 200 people attended his funeral in Marbella.

  1. I am Lee Wards brother and i am not happy with everyone thinking lee was some rich guys son. Lee was a self made man and worked hard for his money, Everything Lee had was worked for and worked very hard for at that he is not a rich kid and handed everything on a plate he was a genious and had only what he worked for. He will be missed very much by all his family and everyone who knew him

    Glenn Ward

  2. You have such a succint way with words, Otto. A Lamborghini is a high performance machine, and even skilled racing drivers crash these cars on a regular basis. At least Glenn was having a good time up until the end. Who can deny him that – life is for living after all.

  3. I THINK LEE WARD WAS A SELF MADE MAN HE RELIDE ON NO ONE. HE WASNT A RICH KID HE MADE ALL HIS MONEY HISELF!! HES SADLY MISSED AND WAS A BRILLIANT FRIEND. HE LOVED TO DRIVE FAST AND ENJOYED HIS LIFE TO THE MAX!love peter and aimee

  4. i am sure the young man worked hard, but it is much much easier to get ahead and purchase a Lamborghini (and much more) when your father is an oil tycoon………..

i know young folks working as construction workers who work very hard in the hot sun or freezing rain, and guess what? they can’t even afford to look at a Lamborghini ….

    Rest in Peace
