Motril man in child porn arrest

A MOTRIL man arrested as part of a police crackdown on peodophilia had 300 pornographic photos on his computer, according to police.

The man, whose initials have been given as HPL, was among 66 people detained throughout Spain during Operation Penalty.

It is believed the 41-year-old was part of a nationwide network that exchanged explicit photographs and videos of children.

Police confiscated more than 48 million images during the simultaneous raids on July 15.

Meanwhile, a teacher who was detained during the operation has committed suicide.

It is claimed the un-named man, from Asturias, had more than eight million photographs of child pornography on his computer.
