A WOMAN was injured when the car in which she was travelling was involved in a head on collision with a horse.
The woman was travelling along the N340 Mediterranean dual carriageway when her Renault Twingo hit the horse, which police believe had escaped from nearby farm.
According to the Guardia Civil, this was the second car accident the horse had been involved in.
The woman was taken to nearby Salobreña for treatment for her injuries. The horse had to be put down.
