THE largest ‘European Supermarket’ of steroids and doping products has been closed down in Malaga.
Raiding the property, police found more than 3 million doses of steroids, hormones and sexual enhancers, as well as €2 million in cash.
Located in Benalmadena, the flat was also home to packaging machines, medicine labels, and substances believed to have been smuggled in from China and India.
The Civil Guardia made 14 arrests, including a doctor, a trainer and a bodybuilder.
The challenge for the government is how to eradicate all this illegal activity from child porn, gun running, drug production and distribution, real estate swindling and grifting without damaging Spain’s already slow transition from an authoritarian regime and an emerging democratic state. Policing agencies and government officials, as well as average citizens could tend to revert to worse than current authoritarian ‘solutions’.
