A TRIP of a lifetime is taking on a new meaning for two aviators flying around the world in a solar-powered aircraft.
Swiss pioneers Bertrand Piccard and Andre Borschberg started their global adventure in Abu Dhabi on March 1 and will return there via Oman, India, Myanmar, China, USA, Spain and North Africa.
The longest legs of the flight of the zero-fuelled plane ‘Solar Impulse’ are four consecutive days and nights and the trip itself could take a whole year.
